The Amadeus Duo in St Catharines March 24!

One of the most respected and innovative guitar duos of Europe will come to St Barnabas Church on Wednesday March 24 at 7:30pm.

The Amadeus Duo, based in Germany, is Canadian Dale Kavanagh and her German partner Thomas Kirchoff. Together for nearly 20 years, they have performed nearly 900 concerts in all the major European centres and most of the great cities of the world. Immensely respected as a highly professional, they are very entertaining and deeply musical.

Amadeus’ concerts are always present a wonderful variety of music in a very dynamic way. Both Dale and Thomas are expert communicators who clearly take great joy in giving their music and the love they have for it to their audiences. Their sound is full, clear and highly nuanced. Their interpretations are evocative, honed by the years they have been together and the ease of their personal collaboration.

This promises to be a richly satisfying evening for all music lovers. Do come to hear this world famous duo play in the inspiring acoustics of St Barnabas Church.

Other Info	This wonderfully musical duo is in Canada for a brief tour. We are very lucky to be able to bring them to St Catharines to play in St Barnabas. They have a beautiful sound and a fabulous rapport. Both have great technique but really the beauty and joy of the music is clearly their only real concern. Those who hear them will treasure the memory!

Other Info	The Eden Stell Guitar Duo (Mark Eden and Christopher Stell) are one of the most innovative guitar ensembles in the world. Their dynamic performances have won great acclaim and delighted audiences whether they perform a baroque transcription or a new contemporary commission. The duo have recorded six CDs, performed in over 20 countries, had concerto engagements with renowned ensembles such as the Prague Chamber Orchestra, and are the only guitarists since Julian Bream to receive an â€˜Editorâ€™s Choiceâ€™ in Gramophone Magazine. Both hold teaching positions at the Royal College of Music and Birmingham Conservatoire. Mark and Chris were elected Associates of the Royal Academy of Music in recognition of their performing achievements. The duo are Dâ€™Addario string sponsored artists.
