RiverBrink, situated on the picturesque Niagara Parkway, is the home of the Weir Collection. This is their 25th anniversary. Enjoy the open house, hosted by the Bed & Breakfast Association, while you listen to Jonathan play.

Walk through the stately home and explore the wonderful collection of fine art and rare books, alongside decorative art items and other ephemera. A spectacular view of the Niagara River greets you as you wander the grounds.

Admission to Gallery is $5 ($4 for Seniors).

A concert of solos and duets by two of China’s most outstanding young guitar virtuosi.

Born in 1988 in Qingdao, China, Meng Su has presented solo, duo (with Yameng Wang), and quartet concerts in the U.S., Austria, Germany, U.K., Korea, and Japan. Ms. Su has been the first prize winner of several competitions, including, at the age of 14, the 5th Vienna Youth Guitar Competition, the 48th Tokyo International Guitar Competition, the Christopher Parkening Young Guitarist Competition in the U.S., and the Iserlohn International Guitar Competition in Germany. In 2006, Ms. Su graduated from the Middle School affiliated with the Central Conservatory of Music of China with Prof. Chen Zhi.

Born in 1981 in Qingdao, China, Yameng Wang began learning the guitar with Prof. Chen Zhi when she was 10. At the age of 12, she won the 36th Tokyo International Guitar Competition, becoming the youngest champion in the history of international guitar competition. At 13, she was the second prize winner in the Alessandria International Guitar Competition in Italy, and at 14, she was invited by Radio France to perform a recital in the 27th Paris International Guitar Art Week and also in that year, she won the second prize in La Infanta Dona Cristina International Guitar Competition in Spain Yameng Wang has performed throughout Europe, Australia, Japan, Korea and the U.S., and her recordings with GHA Company have met with warm responses in the world. Professional magazines including “GENDAI Guitar” of Japan, “Classical Guitar” of England, “LA GUITARE” of France, “Lute and Guitar” of Germany, all spoke highly of her. Yameng Wang graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music of China in 2006.

Italy's guitar virtuosi.

Matteo Mela and Lorenzo Micheli - two among the most active and famous Italian guitarists-met in Texas, far away from native Italy, in Autumn 2000. Since then, they have shared a number of ideas, musical projects, and travels all over the world.

In 2002, with violinist Ivan Rabaglia and cellist Enrico Bronzi, they created a chamber music group devoted to the discovery of unknown works from the XIX Century repertoire. A year later, in 2003, they formed a duo that has already performed throughout Europe and North America, and has been acclaimed everywhere as one of the best ensembles ever heard. Matteo and Lorenzo have recorded Francois de Fossa's Three Quartets, op. 19, Antoine de Lhoyer's Music for two Guitars, and a selections of Masterworks of the 20th Century (forthcoming), as well as half a dozen solo recordings on the labels Naxos, Kookaburra, Stradivarius, Brilliant Records and Mel Bay.

Classical guitarist Emma Rush was born in Hamilton, Canada. She was involved with music from an early age and played many instruments before discovering a love for the guitar. While living in Nova Scotia she received a Bachelor of Music degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, and taught at the Halifax Guitar Festival.

From 2002-2006 Emma Rush lived in Dortmund, Germany where she completed post-graduate studies with world-renowned guitarist Dale Kavanagh at the Hochschule fur Musik in Detmold (February, 2006).

Emma is now living in Hamilton, Canada and maintains her involvement with the European guitar scene. She regularly attends international guitar festivals (Iserlohn, Nurtingen, Gevelsberg, Acadia) and has refined her skills in masterclasses with David Russell, Roland Dyens, Carlo Marchione, and Tilman Hoppstock, among others. In 2006/2007 she is invited to play in Norway, Turkey, Mexico, and Germany, in addition to numerous Canadian appearances including a performance at the renowned Acadia Classical Guitar Festival in Nova Scotia.

The Kassner-Quer guitar duo is recognized as one of the most creative and exciting ensembles on the international guitar scene. Their expressive musicality and extraordinary technical virtuosity, combined with their highly innovative approach to repertoire, have earned them critical acclaim in many countries. The duo has performed extensively in festivals and concert series throughout Europe including the Festival International de Guitarra (Barcelona), Visages de la Guitare (France), the South Bohemian Music Festival (Wales), Mercat de la Musica Viva (Spain), and Festival Internacional de Musica (Spain). They have recorded 3 CD's for the British label President Records and regularly give masterslasses in Spain, Canada and Italy.
